Gwangju FC in the K League 1 (first division) is steadily strengthening its power. Earlier, Kwon Sung-yoon, Park In-hyuk and Park Jung-in were recruited to strengthen the offense, and this time, Min Sang-ki was recruited to strengthen the defense's depth. Gwangju said on the 10th that it has recruited veteran center back Min Sang-ki.
Min Sang-ki, a native of Matang High School, joined Suwon Samsung in 2010 and attracted attention as the "No. 1 professional player from Matang High School." Although he did not play much in the early days of his debut, he has been a main player since 2013 and played consistently. In 2022, he served as a captain and showed his side as a top K-League center back.
Since then, Min has moved to Busan I'Park on loan in 2023, playing as a starter and replacement, before moving to Pohang Steelers last year to continue his career. Marking his 15th year as a pro, Min has played 230 games (four goals and one assist) in the K-League.
As a veteran, Min has the ability to lead defense teams with stable interpersonal defense and skillful management. He is also praised for his excellent build-up ability to connect balls from the back to the front through bold long passes. 안전놀이터
Min Sang-ki said, "I'm very happy to play for a team that leads trendy tactics, and it will be an important turning point in my soccer life in the future," and said, "I want to come out to as many games as possible and be a player who can help the team and give joy to the fans."
